His collar is dark blue and has a tag that's orange with a silver anchor symbol on it representing the sea. He has brown fur, floppy ears, and amber eyes. He sometimes speaks like a surfer and uses slang like "dude", fittingly for the water rescue pup. In Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Windsurfer, it is revealed that he idolises Hurricane Harrigan. They're often shown to have a close friendship and they've been seen doing things together. Once, in " Pups Fall Festival", they even argued about who got to the elevator first. He has a competitive side he and Skye have a friendly rivalry at times, but it's all in good fun. He's shown to be rather good with ocean animals. He is playful and always ready to have a good laugh. He is always loyal and has an abundant liking for Ryder. He is relaxed and his own fears tend to be more subtle than the rest of the pups' phobias. Zuma is very laid-back and calm, though he's not as serious about duty as Chase. Zuma has lots of energy for any adventure in store for him! He lives in his boathouse and dives into action in his hovercraft. Zuma is all about the water! This Chocolate Labrador loves to laugh and surf. Other characters who have been in Zuma's hovercraft are Ryder and Chase, Marshall (" Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone"), and Julius and Julia Goodway (" Pups' Adventures in Babysitting"). His vehicle is a kind of speedboat called a hovercraft. His main color is bright orange, given that he normally wears an orange helmet on duty, his jacket and pup-pack are orange as well. His main duties, as a PAW Patrol member, is anything aquatic (anything that's related to water). Zuma is a chocolate Labrador retriever puppy, with a slight speech impediment where he can't pronounce his r's correctly, though he loses it after the third season.
